These are the new DAKAR Hil ux in shakedown. Mid- mounted 2UR -GSE V8 5.0 liter NA. So hot.

They sound great indeed! Way better than the diesel Minis and Peugeots.

Also, for those differentiating between the mid mounted engine layouts: these are front-mid, with the engine basically under the dashboard. They are pretty tightly packed, as they hold the spare wheels and tools below the driver, so almost all the weight is between the axles.
